Cardigan Guildhall

The Guildhall is a grade II* listed building considered by CADW to be one of the most important 19th century buildings in Wales. Designed in 1855 and completed in 1860 it was the first building in Britain to follow the ‘Ruskinian’ Gothic style of architecture.

In 3 phases over the last 5 years, Acanthus Holden have brought the Guildhall back to life, providing a focus for community life within the town.

The installation of a lift was key to allowing the first floor function room to be brought back to use. The Guildhall now boasts 2 further meeting rooms, management offices and an art gallery at High St level.

The final phase of paving and pointing was completed by Christmas 2011.
